Quilling
is the ancient art of rolling narrow
strips of paper or wire around a pin like
tool into a circle then shaping to form
three dimensional designs. Practiced in
ancient Egypt and 4th century Greece the art
was used to adorn vases and pillars. Shapes
were often painted gold to resemble metal
filigree work. Quilling is a beautiful,
meticulous art where no two pieces look
exactly alike.
All Quilling is hand make - from the
start to finish. No machines to roll
paper. Quilling pictures are created by using 1/8"
narrow strips of paper rolled into circles
then shaped to make designs.
